ISLAMABAD PESHAWAR MOTORWAY || Travel Islamabad To Peshawar In Motorway

Assalam o Alaikum! Grip on Trip's new episode. In Motorways & Highways series, we have reached Islamabad. We will travel from Islamabad to Peshawar which in M-1. This motorway was inaugurated in October 2007, about 13 years ago. It is 155 km long. 67 km is in Punjab and 88 km in KPK. We will see in what condition it is after 13 years, its interchanges and which cities are taking benefit from this motorway. Stay with me. There are 12 interchanges after Islamabad Toll Plaza.

Travel Islamabad To Peshawar In Motorway

 They include Fateh Jang, Sangjani Pasowal, Brahma Bahter, Burhan, Hazara, Ghazi, Chach, Swabi, Karnal Sher Khan, Wali, Rashkai and Charsadda. It is about 160 km long and it costS PKR 210 toll tax. The first interchange is Fateh Jang/Tarnol. You can go to Kohat as well. After Pasowal and Brahma Jang, Burhan interchange approaches. Hassan Abdal is situated on the right side of Burhan. 


Karakoram Highway starts from Hassan Abdal in Pakistan. Burhan city falls on left side of this interchange. After about 3km, you reach Hazara Expressway interchange. It has recently been opened. You bypass all big cities by traveling on this expressway. Next interchange is Ghazi and you pass over Ghazi Brotha canal. Ghazi Brotha is a hydro project which produces about 1450 megawatt electricity. It is a run of river project. It costed 2.1 billion USD. WAPDA, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank and Japan Bank provided financial assistance. Our journey is going on and we have completed 67km of Punjab area. We crossed some interchanges, Ghazi Brotha canal and Indus river. 



Right after crossing Indus river you see this board which states that you have entered KPK. Swat Chakdrah Expressway was completed recently. This Motorway has provided great ease to the travelers who go to Chakdrah, Mingora and Kalam. My journey on M-1 is going on. It is the first service area You can find petrol pump, mosque, toilet and other facilities. I have seen a medical relief center here. God forbid if you face a medical emergency, you can get first aid from here. M-1 motorway is significant motorway of Pakistan. 80 to 90% North, other than Kashmir, travel through this motorway. Burhan interchange is used to travel to Naran. You can go to Gilgit via Chilas also. Likewise, there was Chakdrah, Rashkai interchange will come ahead, you can go to Kalam and Swat.

Travel Islamabad To Peshawar In Motorway

 Chitral, Upper Temar Garah, Upper Dir and Kumrat can also be reached from here. In short, when you go to North, you must use this motorway. Rashaki is very important and big interchange. You can reach Mardan by turning right and Naushehra by turning left. Before Peshawar, last interchange is of Charsadda. My journey on M-1 is completed at Peshawar. There was one service area, 2 rivers: Kabul and Indus. Link Brotha canal was worth watching canal Mashallah. It's a three lane motorway, you saw my journey.
