Assalam Alaikum I am Zia Tabarak & I'm in the beautiful Valley of Minapin Nagar It's a beautiful weather today and today we are going to Pak-China Border at Khunjerab Pass It's an amazing place where the weather also stays cold Even in summers the temperature there is -10 , -9 Even on its way, we have many attractions such as the Passu Cones, Attabad Lake, Hussaini Bridge We will be visiting them all along the way And we'll also look at the food items that are available on the way The breakfast is about to come, let's have it and then start the journey So, let's go! So, on the way from Nagar we have this lookout point, Sherbaz bhai what peaks are these? This is Deeraan Peak, and here we have the 12 km ice wall of Rakaposhi This is Rakaposhi, right? --Yes Below we have a river, and all of this 12 km area is an Ice Wall it's always frozen. Beautiful! Look at this, we've come from this maintain and the Attabad Lake begins from here All the way from there.. We will pass some more tunnels now to reach our final destination So we have reached Attabad Lake and you will never see a lake with such colours! The lake was created after a landslide on 4th January 2010 Before that, this was Karakoram Highway. Ater thw landslide the water rose and created a lake. And the tunnels that we came from, were created because the roads were blocked They have many services here, we have boating, speedboats, and some snack shops as well Amazing scenes! And looking at these mountains, fruit trees and waterfalls everywhere And looking at all of this just reminds of how these mountains too will fall one day But these breathtaking places make you want to move here forever and keep praising God! Baba ji how long will it take us to reach Khunjerab? Around 2-3 hours. --Still? --Yes. it's far. --Oh! There are little villages here and I like how kids are going to school even here! Teachers, students, all are here. The literacy rate of Gilgit-Baltistan is 98% Which we can see here! We are now entering Sost, we can see fuel stations and hotels as well It is a whole market and we'll stop here on our way back and have food Karakoram Highway is what makes trade between China and Pakistan possible But due to COVID-19 the route has been closed for 2 years Otherwise we would be seeing many huge trucks and trailers here That's why it's deserted. It's a beautiful scene, there's snow in all four directions It's a great weather, tourists are enjoying, playing with snow And, I saw people barbecuing as well. China is just a few steps away...
