Assalam-u-Alaikum, I'm Zia Tabarak. The last ten days of Ramadan have begun. It's almost the end of Ramadan. Right now I'm in-between the Lucky One Mall and UBL Sports Complex. And roadside iftaar takes place here. And some brothers here from Aesa Hai Karachi (This is Karachi, AEK). They organise iftaar here from their own money

. Another NGO called EPB is also organising iftaar here. The (AEK guys) are making mutton pulao. And EPB will give out BBQ and biryani. So we will explore these today. And show it to you too. Chalain (let's go)! With me are Owais, Waleed and Asad. Let's ask them as to how did they get the idea of organising this? 4 years ago when we were younger we got this idea To distribute iftaar when we saw others do it on the streets.

That's how we got this idea. Well you still are young! Yeah we're all 24 years old. We wanted to do something for the country. That's why we started this four years ago. So who named this, Aesa Hai Karachi? As in Karachi you'll find people of all types and backgrounds. So we wanted to tell that to the world. And this is done daily? Yes indeed. Haven't you had iftaar at home? Nope, not in the last four years. Who finances this?

We do it ourselves. By yourselves? Yes indeed. No donation either? A lot of us guys finance it from our salaries. Masha'Allah. What's the total cost of a day's iftaar? Well brother Zia it costs us about 18000-20000/day. You do it yourselves? Yes! Masha'Allah. And we have great items here like pulao, potatoes and chickpeas, chicken, biryani. The menu keeps changing on a daily basis. They'll lay down the food there, let's check it out. There are the juices. Sometimes when people, including families come here for iftaar. They too sometimes contribute.

Sometimes they give water, juices, dates or give money for some food. So that's how we run this. This is a very electrifying atmosphere and todays's a saturday. And because of it being a Saturday, there's a lot of traffic here. Is the flow of traffic normal? No it's because of Saturday being a holiday. Yes exactly because of that reason. And we'll check out EPB too soon enough and their BBQ. Till then AEK will set up their stuff. Just check the vibe here. People are ready to have iftaar. Salam brother

how's it going? The smell of the biryani makes me wanna break the fast right now! Yeah just ten minutes are left. True! Just check this. For how long have you been doing this? About two years. Yes Alhamdulillah today it's been two years since EPB started. You do this only in ramadan? No we do this all throughout the year.

We do this in the outlying areas of Karachi too. How many times do you organise this in ramadan? About 7 times. Alright. They ae preparing these platters of biryani for the iftaar. They will start distributing these when iftaar time starts. Where's the BBQ? Is that the BBQ for the iftaar? All of this BBQ will be given away for the iftaar

. They've made some seating arranagement here, let's chceck out the mutton pulao. This is how they are chilling the water and juice. They are mixing red juice here. Y'all making juices here? Yes. All these guys do the work themselves. They do all of this work on their own. Sheermaals are here What will we eat these with? We'll give these with water to people travelling on the road. A date, a sheermaal and a bottle of water. The fast is about to break! Traffic's flow has lessened too because of the break of the fast. They are making even more juices

. You mixed fruit juice in red juice? It's a cocktail! Cocktail? Yes! How's it going? Alhamdulillah! They are distributing the biryani as we're very close to the iftaar. You're making parathas too? Indeed! Wow! The whole BBQ experience. Awesome! I think this is malai boti? Malai boti, chicken boti, awesome BBQ here. And soon they'll fry parathas too. And these roadside iftaars aren't just for poor people. Anyone can come here. And have iftaar. They serve really good food and anyone can eat it. The mutton pulao guys got their delivery stuck in the traffic
